Bullion Chocolate
Bullion is a Sheffield-based bean-to-bar chocolate maker founded by Max Scotford, built on a single conviction: that genuinely great chocolate deserves to be made with complete care over every step of the process. Sprint has worked with Bullion since the early days of the brand - developing packaging that grew with Max's ambitions. When Fortnum & Mason came calling, the packaging had to be ready for the most famous food hall in the world.

Sprint had been working with Max Scotford and Bullion for a number of years - producing the packaging for his craft chocolate bars as the brand grew from a home operation into one of the UK's most exciting independent makers. The relationship was already strong. Then Fortnum & Mason came into the picture. Being selected by Fortnum & Mason is one thing. Supplying them is another. The world's most famous food hall has exacting standards for what appears on its shelves - in quality, in presentation, and in the integrity of the packaging. Bullion's chocolate bars needed to look worthy of the address. Sprint designed and produced the packaging for the Fortnum & Mason range: gold foiling on specialist stock, precise and colourful, with multipack configurations built to meet the retailer's requirements. Every detail had to be exactly right - because in that context, everything is noticed.

Bullion Chocolate is now stocked in Fortnum & Mason. From home production in 2016, Max has built a twenty-strong team, doubled production capacity, opened a dedicated café and retail space in Sheffield, and won recognition from Which?, BBC Good Food, and beyond. Their single-origin bars have been selected for collaborations with the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery and the Roald Dahl Museum. Sprint's packaging has been part of the story throughout - from the early bars that established the brand to the precision-finished range that earned its place on one of the most prestigious retail shelves in the world. There's a footnote worth mentioning: in 2024, Get Baked - another Sprint client - completed an eight-week residency at Fortnum & Mason, with co-branded packaging produced by Sprint. Two Sprint clients, on the shelves of Fortnum & Mason, at the same time. Not a bad result for a finishing studio based in Yorkshire. Bullion sells a lot of chocolate.
